I would like to publish the letter of Ninoy Aquino to his son Noynoy when the former was incarcerated during the martial law in the Philippines. This is the first time I saw this and my hair stood on its ends, so touching a legacy to an only son, as if he was groomed for the presidency.
At the time, you would really pity them for the injustice done to them during martial law., but God has his own mysterious reasons why he allowed this to happen. As you can see, the “prophecy” has been fulfilled 36 years after.

P E R S O N A L
My dearest Son:
One of these days, when you have completed your studies I am sure you will have the opportunity to visit many countries. And in your travels you will witness a bullfight.
In Spanish bullfighting as you know, a man, the matador is pitted against an angry bull. The man goads the bull to extreme anger and madness. Then a moment comes when the bull, maddened, bleeding and covered with darts, feeling his last moment has come, stops rushing about and grimly turns his face on the man with the scarlet "muleta" and sword. The Spaniards call this "the moment of truth." This is the climax of the bullfight.
This afternoon, I have arrived at my own moment of truth. After a lengthy conference with my lawyers, Senators Jovito R. Salonga and Lorenzo M. Tanada I made a very crucial and vital decision that will surely affect all our lives: mommie's, your sisters', yours and all our loved ones as well as mine. I have decided not to participate in the proceedings of the Military Commission assigned to try the charges filed against me by the army prosecution staff. As you know, I've been charged with illegal possession of firearms, violation of RA 1700 otherwise known as the "Anti-Subversion Act" and murder.
You are still too young to grasp the full impact of my decision.
Briefly: by not participating in the proceedings, I will not be represented by counsel, the prosecution will present its witnesses without any cross examinations, I will not put up any defense, I will remain passive and quiet through the entire trial and I will merely await the verdict. Inasmuch as it will be a completely one-sided affair, I suppose it is reasonable to expect the maximum penalty will be given to me. I expect to be sentenced to imprisonment the rest of my natural life, or possibly be sent to stand before a firing squad. By adopting the course of action I decided upon this afternoon, I have literally decided to walk into the very jaws of death.
You may ask: why did you do it? Son, my decision is an act of conscience. It is an act of protest against the structures of injustice that have been imposed upon our hapless countrymen. Futile and puny, as it will surely appear to many, it is my last act of defiance against tyranny and dictatorship.
You are my only son. You carry my name and the name of my father. I have no material wealth to leave you. I never had time to make money while I was in the hire of our people. For this I am very sorry. I had hopes of building a little nest egg for you. I bought a ranch in Masbate in the hope that after ten or fifteen years, the coconut trees I planted there would be yielding enough to assure you a modest but comfortable existence.
Unfortunately, I had to sell all our properties as I fought battle after political battle as a beleaguered member of the opposition. And after the last battle, I had more obligations than assets.
The only valuable asset I can bequeath to you now is the name you carry. I have tried my best during my years of public service to keep that name untarnished and respected, unmarked by sorry compromises for expediency. I now pass it on to you, as good, I pray, as when my father, your grandfather passed it on to me.
I prepared a statement which I intend to read before the military commission on Monday at the opening of my trial. I hope the commission members will be understanding and kind enough to allow me to read my statement into the record. This may well be my first and only participation in the entire proceedings.
In this statement, I said: Some people suggested that I beg for mercy from the present powers that be. Son, this I cannot do in conscience. I would rather die on my feet with honor, than live on bended knees in shame.
Your great grandfather, Gen. Servilliano Aquino was twice condemned to death by both the Spaniards and the American colonizers. Fortunately, he survived both by a twist of fate.
Your grandfather, my father was also imprisoned by the Americans because he loved his people more than the Americans who colonized us. He was finally vindicated. Our ancestors have shared the pains, the sorrows and the anguish of Mother Filipinas when she was in bondage. It is a rare privilege for me to join the Motherland in the dark dungeon where she was led back by one of her own sons whom she lavished with love and glory.
I ended my statement thus: I have chosen to follow my conscience and accept the tyrant's revenge. It takes little effort to stop a tyrant. I have no doubt in the ultimate victory of right over wrong, of evil over good, in the awakening of the Filipino.
Forgive me for passing unto your young shoulders the great responsibility for our family. I trust you will love your mother and your sisters and lavish them with the care and protection I would have given them. I was barely fifteen years old when my father died. His death was my most traumatic experience. I loved and hero worshiped him so much; I wanted to join him in his grave when he passed away. But as in all sorrows, eventually they are washed away by the rains of time.
In the coming years, I hope you will study very hard so that you will have a solid foundation on which to build your future. I may no longer be around to give you my fatherly advice. I have asked many of your uncles to help you along should the need arise and I pray you will have the humility to drink from their fountain of experiences.
Look after your two younger sisters with understanding and affection. Viel and Krissy will need your umbrella of protection for a long time. Krissy is still very young and fate has been most unkind to both of us. Our parting came too soon. Please make up for me. Take care of her as I would have taken care of her with patience and warm affection. Finally, stand by your mother as she stood beside me through the buffeting winds of crisis and uncertainties firm and resolute and uncowed. I pray to God, you inherit her indomitable spirit and her rare brand of silent courage.
I had hopes of introducing you to my friends, showing you the world and guide you through the maze of survival. I am afraid; you will now have to go it alone without your guide.
The only advice I can give you: Live with honor and follow your conscience. There is no greater nation on earth than our Motherland. No greater people than our own. Serve them with all your heart, with all your might and with all your strength. Son, the ball is now in your hands.
Lovingly,
DAD

Discipline and laziness
The Lord hates lazy bones.
Here are the Lord’s advice on sluggards:
Proverbs 6:6-11
A child who starts walking, is difficult to follow around the house. He is excited on all the first things he does. He is full of energy, has a twinkling eyes, his happiness show on his face. If he falls, because of an unsteady gait yet, he would get up again, and do whatever he wants to do .
Usually at an early age before five , the child is admonished if he makes a mistake to impress on the child good values. But as he reaches five, the rod has to be used already. For misbehavior, we have to use the rod, so that the child would remember his mistakes by inflicting a little pain. Even the Lord says:
Proverbs 13:24
When the child is at age five, he goes to kinder school and therefore exposed to environment outside of the family. He has to deal with pranksters, or receive the brunt of the teacher in case he misbehaves. If the child is admonished in the presence of the classmates, even at that young age, the child gets embarrassed. In most cases he does not want to return to school because he has lost face.He loses the twinkle in his eyes.
More often than not, the child would not tell the parents about the root cause why he does not want to go back to school. He just say: “I don’t want to go back to school, “tinatamad ako” (don’t feel like going back to school) If parents do not go deeper to find out the truth, it could be perceived as laziness, because he’d rather play around the house. He feels secure at home where his loved ones are.
The child may become lazy and would eventually not have the stamina for school work, because he can’t catch up, which could be attributed to the unhealthy foods that the child eats or he lacks sleep because of television. Or the child is bothered by the squabbling of the parents. In school, he would not be able to focus. Thus, he is perceived as lazy even by teachers who do not know the real problem.
We have to take care not only of the child’s physical needs, but his emotional and spiritual needs as well, not merely focusing on the intellectual aspect.
For a young mother, taking care of the housekeeping, budgeting, attending to the needs of the children is an awesome task, but if God is with you, the load becomes lighter. Submit to the Lord’s commands and ask HIS protection and guidance on a daily basis, so that your children would not turn out to be sluggards and be
a burden to society.
Below is the message of our Lord Jesus through the late Veronica Luenken of Bayside:
Jesus -
Here are the Lord’s advice on sluggards:
Proverbs 6:6-11
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
No overseer or ruler,
Yet it stores its provisions in summer
And gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you be there , you sluggard?
When will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to rest—
And poverty will come on you like a bandit
And scarcity like an armed man.
A child who starts walking, is difficult to follow around the house. He is excited on all the first things he does. He is full of energy, has a twinkling eyes, his happiness show on his face. If he falls, because of an unsteady gait yet, he would get up again, and do whatever he wants to do .

For misbehavior, we have to use the rod, so that the child would remember his mistakes by inflicting a little pain. Even the Lord says:
Proverbs 13:24
He who spares the rod hates his son,Proverbs 23:13-14
but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.
Do not hold discipline from a child;
If you punish him with the rod, he will not die.
Punish him with the rod
And save his soul from death.

"I ask parents to restore discipline to their homes. I demand My pastors to restore discipline to My Church upon earth. You will not convert the masses, but you will set yourselves to be destroyed by the enemies of God, because you do not pray, because you do not seek means of mortification. I say unto you, as your God, in the name of your Creator, that as you sow, so shall you reap - and many of you are preparing to reap the whirlwind!

Prayer to stop gushing of 2.5 million gallons of oil
It has been 61 days since the start of the Gulp Oil spill and they are still trying to contain the . gushing of oil estimated at 60,000 barrels a day (2.5 millions of gallons)
Remember the Hopi prophecy that I posted here before, that the sea will turn black?
Some “intelligent” people look down on people who have faith in God, who think that these believers don’t have the innate intelligence like them. But where are these “intelligent” people? What have they done to stop the gushing oil. God is powerful. Our Lord said: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate. (1Cor 1:19)
Unless we act now in prayer, the prophecy that the sea will turn black will come true.
Don’t wait for the devastating oil reach the shores of our countries. Pray hard, it works. (borrowed from our Caloocan Mayor Enrico "Recom" Echiverri)
The Catholic Church, other denominations, and heads of states should join hands in prayer with the people to stop the gushing of oil. Repent and ask for mercy.
This is the the message of Mama Mary through Veronica Luenken at Bayside: “All prophecy given to you, My children, is conditional to man’s response. “
And this is an excerpt of the message of our Lord Jesus to Vassula Ryden of tlig.org on September 30, 2002:
Now, the Louisiana lawmakers are proposing prayer…read the story on the oil spill from Cnn on Louisiana lawmakers propose prayer to stop oil disaster
I suggest we pray this prayer taught by our Lord to Vassula Ryden:
Tender Father, lash not Your wrath on this generation, lest they perish altogether;
Lash not on Your flock distress and anguish,
for the waters will run dry and nature will wither;
all will succumb at Your wrath leaving no trace behind them;
The heat of Your Breath will put aflame the earth turning it into a waste!
From the horizon a star will be seen;
The night will be ravaged and ashes will fall as snow in winter,
covering Your people like ghosts;
Take Mercy on us, God, and do not assess us harshly;
Remember the hearts that rejoice in You and You in them!
Remember Your faithful and let not Your Hand fall on us with force,
But, rather in Your Mercy lift us and place Your precepts in every heart. Amen”
Add: Nothing is impossible with you, stop the Gulf oil spill.

All The Earth Will Suffer Unless I Hear A True Cry Of Repentance
as for those who have not yet received My visitation many torments await them, the Day of the Lord will come upon them too, and what a day that will be! I shall be swift to show My Mercy, provided you repent ... I will show My Mercy and gather all of you from everywhere under heaven; but before that, I, the Author of this Love Hymn, tell you, unless the world in its wickedness turns to Me, repenting, rendering love for evil, what can happen to you all will outline all historical records of purification!

Depression: watch out for the tell-tale signs
Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity. A depressed person will experience or display some of the following:]
• Persistent sadness, anxiety or feelings of emptiness
• Feelings of hopelessness, helplessness and/or pessimism.
• Feelings of worthlessness or guilt
• Contemplating suicide or suicide attempt
• Problems concentrating, remembering details and making decisions
• Fatigue and loss of energy
• Persistent aches, pains or digestive problems that are resistant to
treatment
• Irritability or restlessness
• Insomnia, waking early, or excessive sleeping
• Overeating, or appetite loss
• Loss of interest in activities that once were pleasurable (e.g., hobbies,
sex, social activities, etc.)
(source: Wikipedia)
As a child of five I was hyperactive, I would join the boys in “tumbang preso)
(hitting empty cans of milk with a stone), or jumping to the metal bar at about half meter away. On one occasion I failed to reach the bar, so down I went on the pavement. I lost consciousness. This did not prevent me from joining the other physical games. I was tagged as a “tomboy” (gay). I was very happy just as any child doing her things without any responsibility.
I was berated by my father for a mischief which was not my fault. I was mad, I saw the blade of my father, and on impulse I did a very tiny slit on my wrist, and specks of blood came out, I got scared, hurriedly taped it with plasters. This was probably the reason why the sight of blood makes me shake.
I didn’t know what came to my mind. During that time you would not dare answer back
I didn’t know about death yet, (this was the era of no television yet), or taking one’s life was all about, or God’s teaching. It was only in the third grade in religion class that I learned about God. So us siblings didn’t get it from our parents, they were busy in their work, or they would not be able to give what they don’t have. Just like what is probably happening now in some families.
Despite the problems at home, I made good grades in grade school, as well as high school. But come college, I also had an 8 to 5 job, I was so stressed out that classmates would say how haggard and fatigued I looked. Imagine coming home from school at 10:00 p.m, did school assignments, slept at about 2:00 a.m then wake up at 6:00 a.m., this meant a daily sleep of four hours only. I felt some of the symptoms of depression mentioned above like feelings of emptiness, irritability, excessive sleeping on weekends, problems concentrating, and fatigue.
During class hours, I couldn’t focus, my mind was everywhere except classroom, it revolved around home and office. I was bogged down physically and emotionally. I was not happy. I graduated just a little above average.
You can have a depressed child or teen if they are not given the right physical, emotional and spiritual nourishment. Emotional IQs is now given importance, not just IQ. A child or teen could be emotionally paralyzed if not given the right foundation.
Life’s problems would be there to hurdle, be strengthened by God’s wisdom:
Psalm 46:1-3
I read Psalm 23 every morning without fail.

I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup overflows
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Gambling will bring you down.
Gambling is the wagering of money or something of material value (referred to as "the stakes") on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning additional money and/or material goods. Typically, the outcome of the wager is evident within a short period.(Wikipedia)
At an early age of eight, I became aware of my father’s gambling. Most nights, my mother would waken my younger sister to accompany her to search my father from gambling houses, a game of cards.
We were a bit affluent at that time. Then our house was sold, so we had to rent a small one-bedroom apartment (at that time I have five siblings already. ) You can imagine the cramp bedroom, with all of us sleeping there. Then one of our passenger jeepneys was reportedly lost. It could have been used to pay off the gambling debts.
To make both ends meet, my mother started a store, with me and some sisters manning it alternately (aged 9 and 7). We noticed that the shelves were being emptied with no replenishment. This was the time when my mother had her 7th child delivery, she was away for one week. Meanwhile my father was getting the cash sales.
Creditors hunted my father, and he would instruct the children not to let them know that he was around. It was really traumatic for children below their teens yet. Then my maternal grandfather moved us to another house.Our parents nearly separated because of his gambling, we were so deprived, had it not been the siblings getting employment and going to college at night, we would not have changed our lives to a better one.
I have read of news about gamblers who committed suicide because they have lost everything.
What about those people engaging in this type of business. They are raking in large sums of money. In the beginning they may be overwhelmed by the staggering amount of money, but for how long? If you are thriving, you get the envy of other gambling houses, they try to harass you, to stop competition; or there are extortionists.
Why am I relating this story, I am not trying to disgrace my father, but I am trying to show to gamblers what would happen to their family if they persist in gambling.This is another form of addiction. You want to continue gambling in the hope of winning and recovering the losses.STOP! But you cannot do it alone. Ask for God’s help, to help you get a legal, moral, satisfying job or a business that would bring employment to people in a legal and moral way.

6 but godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10 for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people , eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Incest & Pedophilia
Pornography – it destroys your moral fiber, and the devil will lead you to abominable crimes like a forbidden relationship with your first degree relative, or a relationship with children or helpers of the house.
What is incest?
Incest is any sexual intercourse between close relatives irrespective of the ages of the participants and irrespective of their consent, that is illegal in the jurisdiction where it takes place, or socially taboo. The type of sexual activity and the nature of the relationship between people that constitutes a breach of law or social taboo vary with culture and jurisdiction. Some societies consider it to include only those who live in the same household, or who belong to the same clan or lineage; other societies consider it to include "blood relatives"; other societies further include those related by adoption or marriage.
Incest between adults and those under the age of majority or age of consent is considered a form of child sexual abuse that has been shown to be one of the most extreme forms of childhood trauma, a trauma that often does serious and long-term psychological damage, especially in the case of parental incest. Prevalence is difficult to generalize, but research has estimated 10-15% of the general population as having at least one incest experience, with less than 2% involving intercourse or attempted intercourse. Among women, research has yielded estimates as high as twenty percent. Father-daughter incest was, for many years, the most commonly reported and studied form of incest. However, more recent studies have consistently found that sibling incest, particularly older brothers abusing younger siblings, is the most common form of incest. Several studies have found that sibling incest occurs orders of magnitude more frequently than other forms of incest. Additionally, compared to those committing incest as adults, the adolescent perpetrators of sibling incest are more common, their victims are younger, their abuse occurs over a lengthier period, and they use violence more frequently and severely (adults who commit incest tend to use less violence and instead favor gifts and flattery to gain the victim's compliance).[ Moreover, studies reveal that sibling incest has a substantially higher rate of penetrative acts than father or stepfather incest, with reported rates of penile penetration during sibling incest ranging from about 40% to over 70%.
Consensual adult incest is equally a crime in most countries, although it is seen by some as a victimless crime, and thus, it is rarely reported.(Source: Wikipedia)
Pedophilia (or paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in adults or late adolescents (persons age 16 and older) for whom prepubescent children are the primary or exclusive sexual object of their sex drive. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), pedophilia is a paraphilia in which a person has intense and recurrent sexual urges towards and fantasies about children they have either acted on or cause distress or interpersonal difficulty. The disorder is common among people who commit child sexual abuse; however, some offenders do not meet the clinical diagnosis standards for pedophilia. In strictly behavioral contexts, the word "pedophilia" has been used to refer to child sexual abuse itself, also called "pedophilic behavior". In law enforcement, the term "pedophile" is loosely used without formal definition to describe those convicted of child sexual abuse or the sexual abuse of a minor, including both prepubescent children and pubescent or post-pubescent adolescents. An example of this use can be seen in various forensic training manuals. Researchers recommend that this imprecise use be avoided. In common usage, the term refers to any adult who is sexually attracted to young children or who sexually abuses a child or adolescent minor.(Source: Wikipedia)
Initially, the tendency towards incestuous relationship or having a desire to have sex with young children comes from exposure to pornographic material. Exposure to such materials when the wife is out of the country or out for work, and in most cases, the unemployed husband is the one attending to the house and children.
Below is the message of our Lady on violation of children:
The father would start giving gifts to the innocent child, gain her love and trust, and then violate her after sedating her.
Same is true with the house helper. The father showers the helper with gifts and slowly gains her mutual response.

It is not late yet for these sinners to repent and ask for God’s mercy and make restitution.
If not, be warned against rejecting wisdom from our Lord:
Proverbs 2:24-28

"Oh, My children, My heart is torn, as a mother's heart is torn, when I see all of the crimes and violations of the little children being committed by parents, not only strangers, but parents of innocent children subjecting these innocents to all manner of debasement and violation! Woe to the parent that has given his child to satan for worldly gain. Read More

Proverbs 2:24-28
24 but since you rejected me when I called
And no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,
25 Since you ignored all my advice
and would not accept my rebuke,
26 I in turn will laugh at your disaster;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you—
27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster sweeps you over like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
28 then they will call to me but I will not answer;
they will look for me but they will not find me
