Detestable s/Abomination to God

          image fr Wikipedia

We may always pray, every hour of the day, but if  God's commandments/doctrines is  violated, even  a single one, our prayer is useless. To know His will, know the scriptures from beginning to end. Ask the help of the Holy Spirit for discernment.

In my earlier days, I read the Bible from cover to cover twice. It just passed without full understanding. It was years later when I suffered tribulation did I understand it better. Why? Because I asked God's help to understand it.

Proverbs 28:9

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Hosea 4:6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
