Steve Ray and Fr. Ric Torrefiel were Protestants. Why did they convert from Protestantism to Catholicism?
A very good spiritual adviser, Fr. Ric Torrefiel of the Diocese of Caloocan, Philippines was a former Protestant. He entered the Catholic priesthood after working with the National Housing Authority in the Philippines as a civil engineer.
One of the reasons that made him covert to Catholicism is the confession through the priest (representative of Jesus) He and the other Protestants noticed that after confession, the repentants’ faces beam, a burden taken out of their shoulder.
