During childhood, the parents usually scare their children
with the appearance of a “momoo” (ghost) to keep the children from being rowdy.
There are stories that are being passed down that the
diseased relative would come back after the third day from death. So what
happens is, on the third night, most members of the family would wear red, to “ward
off “the visit of the dead, and that everybody would sleep in one room with the
lights on.
Even at the wake, a mother said that she saw her diseased
son amongst the mourners.
A Catholic priest said that he saw the diseased nine-year
old girl, crying during her wake.
The ghost or the
diseased relatives may have manifested, but the devil is masquerading as the dead relative.
