Our life's purpose is to see God and stay with Him in His kingdom in the afterlife. But while still on earth, each one has a specific way to achieve this. Ask the Holy Spirit and He will speak to your heart. To open to His promptings, repent of your sins and live in the ways of God, not your way. Commit to Him.

Do not grieve the Holy Spirit because He will depart from you.

Ephesians 4:29-32

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

If  you are with God, He grants miracles. He loves us His children.
But if you turn away from God, the devil is always listening, whether verbal or thoughts. The devil also grants miracles: healing, speaking in tongue, your desires for material things, power, fame.
But when you face God in judgment, what will He tell you?

Matthew 7:21-23

21 “Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God’s kingdom. The only people who will enter are those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that last Day many will call me Lord. They will say, ‘Lord, Lord, by the power of your name we spoke for God. And by your name we forced out demons and did many miracles.’ 23 Then I will tell those people clearly, ‘Get away from me, you people who do wrong. I never knew you.’
