Mayon Volcano Eruption

Mayon Volcano, in Albay, Southern part of Luzon island in the Philippines, is known for its perfect cone, has registered 2,000 tremors. It is spewing ash and the lava is rising. One can hear booming and rumblings from the volcano. Code blue level was already raised in the area. This means that the medical personnel should be on duty round the clock. People are advised to wear mask to protect them from any respiratory ailment.

People within the six-kilometer area of the volcano are being evacuated. Unfortunately there are are some who refused to leave their residence. For their refusal to be evacuated, they have to sign a waiver that the government will not be responsible for any untoward event in their lives.

Albay City has been declared an open city so that aids from different sectors can easily come in.
