Disciplining Children

If you come from a family of child beaters, when you marry and have your own children, either you follow the example of your parents or you promise yourself not to do the same thing to your children.

A child raised in an environment of severe beating could resent his parents. Especially if the beating is done in anger, forgetting the purpose of the beating, which is to instill in the mind of the  child that his action is against the commandment of God. In addition, this should be properly explained to the child, otherwise, the object will be lost.

Proverbs 13:24 Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.

The above is from God. God’s ways are different from ours. We rationalize, our human nature, disregarding this wisdom of God.

In Western countries child beating is punishable by their human laws. The children are encouraged in schools to report their parents if this happen. So children are left on their own, teenager would even say: What is it to you, this is my own body, I can do whatever I want to do with it  (Proverbs 29:15  The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother)

Satan was thrown to earth with his demons. He knows his end is near so he wants to take so many souls to the pit. He is contradicting what God says and taking away God from classrooms. Is it any wonder why there is violence in schools, and the proliferation of abortion?
Most of the young, who do not receive training/teachings from the busy parents, go astray.

  • Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
  •  Deuteronomy 6:6-9 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
