Tattoo and Ear Piercing

What are you seeking, beauty or the "beast"? The beast is the symbol of the devil.

Tattoo became a craze all over the world. It is considered an art. But for how long will it stay.

Before tattooing became popular, tattoo in the Philippines was associated with prison. If you see anybody on the street with tattoo, the people try to avoid him, because this is the mark of incarceration. The perception is that if you are tattooed, either you were a killer, a hold-upper, or other crimes that merit imprisonment.

What I have noticed about people with tattoos, somehow they got lost in their journey through their life. Of, course, I don’t generalize. I have nieces who are tattooed, and I find they are all right.

Tattoo is a kind of branding. You show what is deep inside you by the pictures imprinted on the skin.

I have been cautioning my three sons against tattooing, and body piercing. Although it has significance in other countries, I may belong to the old school, but I don’t like it.

One of the health naturalist in the country, Dr. Rose Manliclic, said that if you have your ears pierced, men or women, it tends to lower your energy.
Tattoo and ear piercing like smoking, drinking hard drinks, drugs, whether prohibited or not; eating foods that are forbidden by God, we are disfiguring ourselves. We are God’s creation and His temple, so we have to take care of our body.

Below are some verses about us being the temple of God.

1 Corinthians 3:16

Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred and you are that temple
.

1 Corinthian 6:19-20

Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? you are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

Leviticus 19:28

Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
