Abortion

I attended this afternoon’s mass at our parish, Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Nadurata, Caloocan, Philippines (all the 26 parishes of the Diocese of Caloocan had the same mass at 6:00p.m) for aborted babies.

To give you an excerpt of the homily of Fr. Luc, our guest priest, he said that morality has gone down, sex is no longer sacred. Sex should be between two married people. What is happening is that pre-marital sex is now an ordinary experience. So what follows is an unwanted pregnancy.

There is already life when the egg and the sperm cell meet. So if the pregnancy is unwanted, life of the fetus is terminated.

We are the creation of God, so only God can terminate life.
We should be pro-life. Lay persons have the responsibility to disseminate the information about our stand on life.

Fr. Luc also mentioned that in an Asian country, an injection of solution from the terminated fetuses to make one look years younger cost a million peso.
This is an indication of disregard for life, terminating the fetuses for commercial reasons.

He exhorts the parishioners to favor candidates who are pro-life, in the coming election

The Virgin Mary said that there is life at conception.
PRECISE MOMENT
"The spirit of life is breathed into the creation of the Eternal Father at the precise moment of infiltration of conception. At the exact moment of the infiltration of conception, life begins. Therefore, you destroy a creation of the Eternal Father; and as such, you will condemn yourselves to eternal damnation!
"You will not destroy a creation of your God! The act of the union of the flesh was created as the means for the propagation of life upon your earth. We have seen the defaming of this sacred ritual of your God. You fornicate like animals! And when you sin you will not stand up and accept the fruits of your vulgarity.
"The union of the flesh will produce as the Father has deemed it. Should you use this in any manner contrary to the laws of your God, you shall reap what you have sown." - Our Lady, May 10, 1972

"Our hearts are torn because of the wanton murder of the young by evil man. Abortion, My children, is murder, the most foulest of deeds, that is punishable by death! And what is worse than death of the soul?
"I say unto you, as your Mother, that any man or woman who performs or takes part of this abomination of the murder of the unborn shall be given a heavy penance upon earth, or if this penance is not given upon earth, that person found guilty in the eyes of his God shall suffer eternal damnation in the fires of hell." - Our Lady of the Roses, December 28, 1976

A Prayer of Repentance and Deliverance

This was lifted from tlig.org, one of the messages of our Lord Jesus only revealed recently.

This "Exorcism Prayer" was given to Vassula on November 13, 2006

Vassula writes:Jesus Christ dictated to me this prayer which is a prayer of repentance, healing and deliverance. He said that this "exorcism prayer" is needed for our times so evil.

People do not know how to totally repudiate Satan in their prayers, who is controlling them, blinding them and giving them a lot of suffering, either through illness or by making them captives. Jesus also says that a lot of people worship false gods (idols).

This prayer will be very effective if prayed with the heart and sincerity.

The Lord said:

"Let them repent before Me with these words:"

Lord, you have endured me all these years with my sins, but nonetheless You pitied me;

I was led astray in every way, but now I will sin no more; I have wronged You and I have been unjust; I will be so, no more; I renounce sin, I renounce the Devil, I renounce iniquity that stains my soul; free my soul from all that is against Your holiness;

I entreat You, Lord, to rescue me from all evil; Come Jesus now, come now and abide in my heart;

Forgive me, Lord, and allow me to rest in You, For You are my Shield, my Redeemer and my Light and in You do I trust;

From today I will bless You Lord at all times;

I repudiate evil and all other gods and idols, for You are the Most High over the world, far transcending all other gods;

By Your mighty arm, rescue me from ill health, rescue me from being a captive, rescue me from trouble and defeat my enemy the Devil; come quickly to my help O Saviour!

Amen

AVE MARIA banned in grad ceremony

Ave Maria is such a beautiful piece of music which venerates the blessed Virgin Mary. Why should it be banned in school? And not only that, mention of God is not allowed. Why, are we afraid of emulating mother Mary's good virtues or be influenced by what God commands? We have to love Him above all else and that we have to love our neighbors? Aren't we working hard for world's peace. There can never peace without God.

See the story on the ban of Ave Maria at graduation ceremony.

High court rejects appeal of 'Ave Maria' ban at graduation ceremony
By Bill Mears, CNN Supreme Court Producer

Washington (CNN) -- The Supreme Court declined to intervene Monday in a dispute over a public school's refusal to allow an instrument-only version of "Ave Maria" at a graduation ceremony. Officials feared the piece would be an endorsement of religion in that limited public forum.
Without comment, the justices rejected the appeal of Kathryn Nurre, who was a high school senior in Everett, Washington, in 2006. By tradition, graduating members of the school's wind ensemble could choose a piece from their repertoire to play at the June ceremony. They chose an arrangement of Franz Biebl's well-known "Ave Maria," which had been performed previously in choir recitals.
School district officials said they feared complaints similar to those that followed the previous year's choir performance of a vocal piece that included references to God, heaven and angels. "Ave Maria" was banned even though the performance would have contained no lyrics.
The school district told principals to approve only musical selections that were "purely secular in nature."
Nurre and others sued, saying their free speech rights were being violated, and said their choice of the piece was made on purely artistic, not religious, grounds. They also cited previous examples where a limited use of religious imagery in a public setting was considered acceptable. Such examples are Ten Commandments monuments in city parks and opening legislative sessions with a prayer.
Justice Samuel Alito publicly dissented with the high court's rejection of the appeal.
"When a public school purports to allow students to express themselves, it must respect the students' free speech rights," he said. "School administrators may not behave like puppet masters who create the illusion that students are engaging in personal expression when in fact the school administration is pulling the strings."
The high court declined to explore whether those attending a graduation ceremony constituted a "captive audience" that might feel forced to hear a religious message with which they may disagree.
The case is Nurre v. Whitehead (09-671).
In other Supreme Court action:
• The justices agreed to decide whether a district attorney's office can be held liable after a former death row inmate in Louisiana said prosecutors withheld key evidence leading to his conviction.
At issue is a federal law that can place the burden on the state with a "failure to train" standard when one of its prosecutors unconstitutionally withholds exculpatory evidence from a criminal defendant. Then-New Orleans-area District Attorney Harry Connick Sr. claimed his office should not be held fully responsible after one of his staff attorneys violated long-standing, accepted procedures on handling evidence in criminal trials.
The defendant, John Thompson, was freed from state prison after 18 years behind bars for the murder of a hotel executive. He came within weeks of execution before being granted a new trial. He was then acquitted in 2003 and won a $14 million judgment against the state.
Oral arguments in the appeal will be heard in the fall. The case is Connick v. Thompson (09-571).
• In another case, current and former Chinese Muslim detainees at the military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, lost another round at the high court. The justices are staying out of the latest dispute about the prisoners' demand of a 30-day notice before any proposed transfer from the detention center.
The men, known as Uyghurs, wanted advance notice of which country they were being sent to, fearing they could be sent to a place where they would be tortured, imprisoned or harassed about their religious beliefs.
The U.S. government, which says the prisoners are no longer considered "enemy combatants" or a national security threat, reiterated they would not be sent to places where they might face torture or continued imprisonment. Many of the Uyghurs released so far have been sent to the Pacific nation of Palau, with others going to Bermuda or Albania.
The justices had previously agreed to hear the Uyghurs' broader constitutional claims over their years-long detention, but the case was tossed out as moot, since most of the men have been freed or are in the process of being freed. The case is Kiyemba v. Obama (09-581).
• The justices also rejected a separate appeal of a Massachusetts law that keeps demonstrators away from abortion clinics. Anti-abortion activists said the restriction violates their rights of free speech and assembly.
The law sets a "protest-free zone" of 35 feet outside clinic entrances, including driveways. Officials call it an acceptable balance between the right of access for patients and the right of expression for those opposed to the medical procedure. Some protesters said they have been forced onto streets to make their beliefs known and have nearly been hit by cars. That case is McMullen v. Coakley (09-592).

" there is no room in My House for any proud heart;, no liar keeps his post... "

I would like to share our Lord Jesus' message through Vasulla Ryden on
April 12, 2004 which was released only recently.

VASSULA: LOrd, I invite You and You answer me,
You talk to me and everything around me blossoms instantly,
When I am in trouble You bend down to listen to me,
When I call, You are quick to answer me...
Blessed be Your Name

Jesus: My Vassula, I have, since I restored you, given you a disciple's tongue to preach, rebuke, discipline and praise; I have breathed in you divine inspirations coming from My Heart so that you testify faithfully;
before I taught you, I espoused you to Me, and have given you the grace of My Presence; I have, with joy, given you access to My Nobility to delight in My Presence; but lately I saw what I saw; the mind and whims of man come in My way as I advance; among them I noticed that many have eyes that do not see; I have, daughter, crowned you with love and tenderness filling your ears with Wisdom's teaching for the benefit of those who now tread upon you; the one who treads upon you treads upon My instructions; have they never learnt that My chosen one is one with My Message? Perhaps this does not enter their heads, that you were suckled on My Bosom? The man who secretly slanders you I reduce to silence; there is no room in My House for any proud heart; no liar keeps his post... your presence is itself My Message; we are collaborators...
Since they are starting to cheapen My Work, neglecting the path of Wisdom, questioning My Sovereign Power for the one I chose to anoint with prophecy, I, as Father, will lift My child away from those who harass her; today I am saying:
from now on, I will keep My Messages hidden for a while, since My Call is not heeded nor are My Instructions lived; My Presence in this way, has not been appreciated either and if I find it necessary, I will strip them from our visits as well;
My Vassula, I have blessed you and anointed you for this apostolic mission; I have blessed you to grow perfect in My Spirit, to grow tall as the cedars and the cypress, spreading your branches foretelling you that I would breathe many more revelations in you; I have prepared you in My royal courts and, still freshly dripping with heavenly dew, I have sent you to be among all mankind; I have sent you to all of them as My Own, My Own gift, carrying My teachings to be given to them so that they benefit from them, but they have taken you and My teachings for granted; they have taken My Words and the one who carries them lightly, many of them straining you uselessly, treating My gift inconsiderately, and as they pleased; am I then not to intervene? I am going to deprive them of My faithful word through you, since their hearts have become gross towards you and My sayings;
I had once said1 that if you harassed her I would give her enough strength to overthrow you, reminding you that her severity will be My severity; I had said to everyone1 that you come from Me and that I will be among you, and this sign will be shown on you...2 ah, so many times I heard this lot sneering behind your back, separating you from My Message! With forked tongues spitting venom on you... happy are those who were not in this lot and had the decency to respect My teachings and their bearer, I will open the gates of virtues to them;
And you daughter, I tell you, My Calls to you will continue; I will not deprive you of My Presence; if anyone questions you on this testimony, tell them: "honey was dripping from the comb all these years, but you were in search of other things; you have not troubled yourself to taste it;" far from being content with what I was offering, avidly you ran for the latest novelty, collecting a whole series of other messages according to your own taste, instead of listening to the truth, you turned to myths...3
I have planted this Vineyard and named it: True life in God; I have not planted it high up on the mountains, but in the lowlands to make it accessible to everyone; the days of reckoning had come; the days of reprisals were here; I came down to My Vineyard and as I was passing through I gasped and drew a long breath filled with grief; "is this the place where a thousand vines were to be?" concealed below the vines I noticed another growth, this of nettles and brambles, all of which were affecting My vines; then a voice was heard coming from beneath the vines, "ah, now I have access to build myself an imposing place, for outrivaling others;" seized with indignation, I ordered My envoy to issue a decree in which I gave My authority to uproot all these nettles and brambles that were persistently plaguing My vines; I am the Vine-Keeper who will enter My Vineyard when I please and check its progress;
I have shown to them My Kingdom and taught them the knowledge of holy things, but they have not given Me full return for all the graces I have given them. I nurtured them and they were not satisfied with the food I was giving them; I gave them drink but in their folly they substituted it with mercury yielding My Glory to their own; although they once said: "I will not yield God's Glory to another one's, yet they yielded My Glory to self glory; now I shall plant the lowly in their place; pride was not created for man; what has dust and ashes to pride itself on?
And I, with My Holy Spirit will keep visiting you in this tranquil manner, just as blood runs in one's veins continuously with no exterior sound, so will We visit you; remain cloistered in Me, My Vassula; ic

Kate Winslet & her separation from husband

It is so sad hearing about the breakdown of marriages. I know the grief of the partners and the children, feeling like they are in limbo.

Read the story on the separation of Kate Winslet & Mendes

Actress Winslet and director husband Mendes split

Agence France-Presse

LONDON—Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet and her director husband Sam Mendes have separated after six years of marriage, the British couple's lawyer said Monday.
The Hollywood A-listers' split was "amicable."
Winslet, winner of the 2009 best actress Oscar for "The Reader", married Mendes, awarded the Academy Award for best director in 2000 for "American Beauty", in May 2003.
"Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year. The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement," London lawyer Keith Schilling said in a statement.
"Both parties are fully committed to the joint parenting of their children," Schilling added. "They ask that the media respect the privacy of the family."
Winslet and Mendes have a six-year-old son, Joe, and Winslet has a nine-year-old daughter, Mia, from her previous marriage to Jim Threapleton, an assistant director she met while making the low-budget "Hideous Kinky".
The 34-year-old British actress rose to global prominence as the romantic heroine in the 1997 blockbuster "Titanic" alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
She was married for just over three years to Threapleton, but they divorced in December 2001. Mendes and Winslet became a couple within two months of her split from Threapleton.
They made their first public appearance in Britain together in 2002 when they attended the premiere of Mendes's second film, "The Road To Perdition".
Mendes, 44, directed his wife in the 2008 drama "Revolutionary Road", an experience he described as "exhilarating", and confessed he saw "a side of her I just didn't know".
The film, about a disintegrating marriage in 1950s suburban America, reunited her with DiCaprio and won her a Golden Globe for best actress.
Often described as one of Hollywood's "golden couples", Winslet and Mendes were based in New York.
They tended to shy away from the celebrity party circuit and instead concentrated on home life.
"As a family we do normal things that other families would," Winslet said last year.
Mendes attended the ceremony with Winslet when she won the Oscar last year, but this year she went to the event alone.
Educated at Britain's prestigious Cambridge University, he made his name as a theatre director, before his spectacular success with "American Beauty" which won five Oscars, including a best actor gong for Kevin Spacey.
His next project will be the 23rd James Bond film, expected to go into production later this year.
Mendes's past loves have included British actresses Jane Horrocks and Rachel Weisz.
Winslet's film career also includes World War II drama "Enigma" in 2001 and the 2006 romantic comedy "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law.
She scooped the best actress Oscar for "The Reader" last year, after being nominated for an Academy Award five times previously without success.
"I feel like an unlikely hero," she once said of her success.
"I was not the privileged kid things like this could happen to."
The star is currently filming the HBO TV mini-series "Mildred Pierce", with director Todd Haynes and actors Guy Pearce and Evan Rachel Wood, about a divorced single mother.
Winslet's upbringing clearly had a strong influence on her career choice -- both her parents were actors and her grandparents ran a theatre in her home town of Reading, just outside London.

Marriage is a commitment, "till death us part".
Read the guide from the Book of God about marriage and re-marriage.

"An Illustration from Marriage" from The Devotional Study Bible
Romans: 7:1-6
"Do you know, brothers--for I am speaking to men who know the law--that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives? 2For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as along as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. 3So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress, even though she marries another man.

Whom To Marry

Selecting a life partner (till death do us part) is a very difficult one.One wrong choice can lead to suffering that usually ends up in the breakup of the marriage.

We usually list the qualities that we want, like good physical attributes, financial stability, good character traits, reliability, etc.

This insight from the Devotional Bible will help:

WHOM SHOULD YOU MARRY?
Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife. (Proverbs 21:9)
In ancient times women were often viewed as men’s property, good for bearing children and not much more. Proverbs, addressed to young men approaching the aghe of marriage, takes a different view. It holds up marriage as a crucial choice, to be made with great care.
A good wife or husband, we can assume ( will make or break her partner’s life. Her duties lay for the foundation for her family’s welfare(14:1; 31:10-31) She shares with her husband the most significant task of teaching their children the way of wisdom (1:8-9; 6:20. Therefore, her character matters far more than her physical beauty.

Not that Proverbs ignores the physical side of love. It urges marriage partners to rejoice in their love, to be captivated by it ((5:18-19). It warns young people against sexual sin precisely because this wastes sexuality on unsatisfying, unloving relationships. Sex ought to be saved for the long-lasting, productive joy of marriage.
Proverbs on sexual sin: 2:16-19; 5:1-23; 6:20-35; 7:6-27; 23:26-28.
Proverbs on marriage: 5:15-19; 12:4; 14:1; 18:22; 19:13-14; 21:9, 19; 27:15-16; 31:10-31

Ask for the guidance of God, Pray that you be given a G-loving, God-fearing partner,who will nourish the family both physically and spiritually.
